Therapy™ Cool Path Duo™ Bi-directional Ablation Catheter

This device is commercially available for use in select international markets.

Duo Tip Technology for More Uniform Cooling1

Therapy Cool Path Duo bi-directional ablation catheter features distal and proximal irrigation ports, providing even cooling across the entire surface of the tip. The high performance shaft with improved torque response offers exceptional control, while bi-directional deflection helps improve maneuverability to reach challenging anatomic locations.

This product is not approved by the United States FDA.

Overview

The Therapy Cool Path Duo bi-directional ablation catheter features the same proven irrigated tip technology as the Therapy Cool Path Duo ablation catheter and offers the push/pull handle for physician preference.

High Performance Shaft with Bi-directional Deflection

  • New high performance shaft provides improved torque response2 offering exceptional catheter control
  • Bi-directional catheter deflection provides improved maneuverability to reach challenging anatomic locations during complex procedures

Additional Irrigation Ports for More Uniform Temperature Distribution

  • Supplemental irrigation ports have been shown to lower the temperature of the proximal area of the electrode1
  • Uniform cooling decreases overall tip temperature1
  • Duo tip design with a total of 12 proximal and distal irrigation ports help ensure more uniform tip cooling and can lead to fewer instances of coagulum and charring1

Torque Transmission at 180°

Therapy Cool Path Duo catheters had the highest measured torque transmission (1.87 in-oz) at 180° amongst a set of open irrigated catheters during bench testing2

Torque Transmission at 180

Torque transmission allows the physician to effectively torque the catheter tip into tissue. During bench testing, torsion force measurements were taken at the distal tip of each catheter shaft as the catheter was rotated 180° at the proximal end by the test equipment. A higher measurement indicates greater torque responsiveness.
